The Pressroom, Inc.'s "Green" Statement:

We use only soy-based inks in our offset presses, and have done so since their introduction in Denver. We recycle all aluminum plates, drink cans, pre- and post- press paper cutoff and make-ready, corrugated boxes, and office copier & digital press toner cartridges. We use no alcohol in our fountain solution, and only biodegradable press washes. Our plate processor uses no chemicals at all for developing, a rarity in the industry, and the 3rd one installed in this country. Even our forklift runs on liquid propane, a lower polluting fuel.

In ‘08 we contracted to install a 9.86 kilowatt Solar Photovoltaic Power generating system on our roof which will provide 25% or more of our electric power during normal operation. We will return the excess energy produced over the weekends to the power grid through a contract with Xcel for the next 20 years.

We are evaluating converting our delivery truck to either ethanol or compressed natural gas in '09. In the interim, we manage deliveries, (whenever timeframes permit), for minimum use of gasoline. We purchased a check scanner to save going to the bank daily, and pay our employees via direct deposit to save them car trips. We also recycle used computers through GRX in Denver.

Since the company was founded in 1992, we have always tried to find the best way to produce quality printed communications with the least impact on our environment.

Guiding Principles

We care--and we show it by helping catch typos, asking questions and watching for consistency. We can suggest changes that might save on your budget, if you wish. We think about how you will use, handle, or distribute the job. We care about how your job looks to your customers and performs for your marketing plan.

Founded in 1992 on the belief that more mid-size high performance vendors service the sheetfed printing market better than huge conglomerates do. We get to know the customer and the way they like to do business. Would you prefer to be a "big fish in a small pond" -- rather than -- "a needle in a haystack"?

Our growth is a testament to the treatment we give our customers. We invite you to sample our service on your next project.
